On March 17, 2022 I participated in a virtual panel to discuss the democratization of facial animation across video games, films, academia, and indie filmmakers.

This was my first time giving a talk at GDC. While I presented it remotely, the experience of putting together the presentation, followed by the feedback I received was both thrilling and gratifying.
Find out how combining the fidelity of performance capture, the precision of photogrammetry scans, and the efficiency of batch processing can produce a large quantity of facial animations for both in-game conversations and cinematics without sacrificing quality.

On Friday, April 29th, Faceware hosted a webinar during which I presented the tools, techniques, and secrets my team at Eidos used for creating hours of high-quality facial animation for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
